Before you buy a −80°C freezer
Upright or chest — which ULT freezer is better?
Upright freezers save floor space and make sample access easier with racks. Chest freezers lose less cold air when opened and are often chosen for bulk or infrequently accessed storage.
How many 2-inch boxes fit in a ULT freezer?
It depends on cabinet volume and rack design. Share your box format and we’ll calculate box capacity for each shortlisted model.
What power backup do ULT freezers need?
We recommend a stabilised supply with UPS or generator backup sized to the compressor load. Backup CO2 or LN2 systems are available for some models.
How long does installation take?
Typically within [X] working days of delivery once the site is ready, including pull-down and user training.
